Welcome to the new manifestation of Gene Kennedy: Photographs. This is just the beginning of a website reconstruction that will provide larger presentations of my photographs made over the past 50 years. Please come back and check my progress as I flesh out the portfolios and writings that constitute my photography-related avocation and career.

Gene Kennedy
I have been photographing seriously (and not so seriously) for more than 45 years. I have gained a little recognition nationally for my photography of the evolving California landscape. Regionally I am known as a photographer, teacher, gallery administrator, and former director of the popular Gladding McBean Photography Workshops.
My photographic projects have focused on the man-impacted environment, with a few nods of appreciation to the natural world, and an occasional touch of humor. My documentary-style landscapes reside in the collections of the California State Library, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, among others.
Photographs of mine can be seen at the Joseph Bellows Gallery In La Jolla, California and the Viewpoint Photographic Art Center in Sacramento.
